Hi guys, just wondered what are the most extreme and desperately embarrassing things you do in the name of saving / making money? These are some of mine (blush blush)
 - don't flush the loo everytime i use it to save water.
 - use left over veg to make soup
 - steal loo roll from the public toilets (that's really bad, isn't it) - hangs head in shame  Grin
 - found various tasty pickings in rubbish skips and asked owners if i can have it.
 - bartered over a 10p item at a jumble sale (suspect you've stopped reading in horror at this point)
 - go commando to save money on new pants!
 - burned unwanted books on the woodburner - lovely blaze and so warm.
Would love to hear if anyone else is as desperately mean as me!

HaHa! Some of those are terrible! I used to have a neighbour who stole loo roll from pub toilets (she was lucky to find any if you ask me!)  I used to hide my loo rolls if I knew she was coming round so she couldn't steal my lovely andrex!

I'll have to have a think about what things I do. I don't buy the above mentioned andrex any more. I've got children now and you know how much loo roll they can get through! So we just buy asda smartprice! Don't think I would ever go as far as using newspaper or that izal stuff my nan used to have in her loo!
