This thread was the idea of Kate 1967 and this is her family's fav meal

My favourite is Chicken Salad.
I grill the Chicken adding  some  Scgwartz Cajun Gill & Sizzle....
Boil some new spuds, ( ideally Jersey or Charlotte)

It's served as a bed of warm Potatoes with butter ( of course lol), then the chicken is spread over followed by salad cream and then tinned sweetcorn  ( Tesco Value lol).......and then mixed salad ( Carrot, lettuce, Toms, Cucumber and Peppers) ...then some more Salad Cream and finally sliced Ham sprinkled on top
It's all of ours favourite dinner !

Our favourite is - Philadelphia Chicken

Take the appropriate amount of skinless, boneless chicken breasts make a slight slit down one side and fill with Philadelphia (or other cream cheese of your choice) wrap some streaky bacon round the chicken put on a baking tray with a drizzle of olive oil over them and leave to cook at gas mark 6 for aprox 30-40 mins.

Meanwhile boil some baby new potatoes and fresh veg of your choice then dish up, you can serve on its own or with a nice creamy garlic and mushroom sauce bought in a packet lol.

This isn't really a family meal but more part of an Indian meal.  We have Aloo Ghost with indian food, as a potato salad or with wraps both hot and cold.

This is one of those guessing amounts you need potatoes, garlic, onions, green chillies, turmeric, plain yogurt, black mustard seeds and oil.

Peel and cut potatoes and bring to the boil with a little salt and the turmeric until cooked.  Mean while very finely chop the onions garlic and green chillies.

Drain potatoes and mix in the onion mixture taking care not to break the potatoes to much.

While doing that heat a oil in a saucepan when smoking hot add onion seeds and cover, the seeds will pop when all is quiet pour over the potatoes and mix in then add the yogurt and fold that in.

eat hot or cold

The ratio of mustard seeds to oil is i teaspoon of seeds to 1 table spoon of oil,
